"My practice hinges on ideas of value and quality as they relate to modes of thinking, materials, time, and choice. When it's at its best, my work begins to unravel the concept of intrinsic worth as it applies to otherwise unaudited norms such as linear thought, free will, the limits between the self and one's environment, and the human inclination toward narrative sense."

-Seth Orion Schwaiger

Dear friends,

Until further notice, I'm donating all sales of artwork to combat the insanity of our current times.

Like many of you, I look at the news, and I look at the world around me, and I become so frustrated — frustrated at the situation as it is, and frustrated with my own inability to do much about it. Despite my limited ability, I've come to the conclusion that given my own basic needs are being met, at least some of my efforts can and should be used for a greater purpose. At some point, inaction becomes complicity. We've been telling ourselves there's nothing we can do about it for too long.

Below this letter is a list of charities I'll be donating to. This list will continue to be updated. Feel free to make recommendations. I'm interested in charities that are effective, transparent, reduce death and suffering, fight oppression, and promote progressive values. Buyers are welcome to choose which charity their purchase will fund. Contact me at sethorionschwaiger@gmail.com for current pricing and next steps.

This page contains images of currently available work. Commissions of new work are gratefully considered. Please peruse the rest of the site to get familiar with the kind of work I do, then get in touch to get the process started.

To be clear, artists should be paid for their work. Many are not in as fortunate of a position as I am, and cannot afford to make the same choice I have. If you are considering buying work from me, but know struggling artists who make good work, consider buying their work instead. Better yet, do both.

In hope and solidarity,
Seth Orion Schwaiger
